Limited movement in Metro Manila – March 22 to April 04, 2021

Due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in Metro Manila and adjacent provinces, the Philippine government, through the Inter Agency Task Force (IATF), has announced stricter guidelines beginning March 22, until April 04, 2021. Philippines Retracts Travel Ban on Returning Overseas Filipinos (NON-OFWs). Foreign Nationals still not allowed with some exceptions. The government blames the sudden surge of COVID 19 cases including the new UK variants, South African Variants, and Brazilian variant cases being imported into the Philippines by travelers abroad. The Department of National Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana already signed the memorandum circular and the implementation will take effect from March 22 to April 21.

Days earlier, the Philippine Government directs all International flight carriers flying to the Manila Philippines to limit the number of passengers allowed to enter the country due to the continuing rise in corona virus new cases. If you are an OFW or NON OFW returning to the Philippines in the next days until April 21, 2021, you are advised to stay tuned for the advise of your airlines if your flight is affected, delayed or rerouted.
