Angeblich bis zu 20.000 Menschen haben am Mittwochabend in Riga, der Hauptstadt Lettlands,  neben anderem gegen ein Gesetz demonstriert, dass es Arbeitgebern erlaubt, ungeimpfte Arbeitnehmer zu entlassen. Die Demonstration war zwar angemeldet aber von der Regierung verboten worden. Wie in Berlin war es eine illegale Demonstration. Es ist der größte Protest in Lettland seit mehr als einem Jahrzehnt. Die Anzahl der demonstrierenden Menschen sollte im Verhältnis zur Einwohnerzahl von ca 800.000 Menschen in Riga gesehen werden. Dann ist die Anzahl der Protestierenden deutlich höher im Verhältnis als z.B. in Berlin. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt der Demonstration war, das nun, wie in vielen anderen europäischen Ländern ebenfalls, Kinder den Pieks bekommen sollen sowie die ständige Testerei von Lehrern und anderen Berufsgruppen, die ihn noch nicht erhalten haben. Aus Protest dagegen wurden viele Puppen und Kuscheltiere am Zaun des Regierungsgebäudes niedergelegt. Leider wusste ich nicht, dass auch dort noch demonstriert wird. Sonst wäre ich vor Ort gewesen.
Im Gegensatz zu den Demonstrationen in Deutschland hielt sich die Polizei absolut zurück und schritt nur ein, wenn es durch Menschen innerhalb des Aufmarsches oder von außen Übergriffe gegen andere gab. Eine insgesamt absolut friedliche harmonische Demonstration ohne jegliche Gewalt! Trotz tausender Menschen...

Allegedly up to 20,000 people demonstrated on Wednesday evening in Riga, the capital of Latvia, among other things against a law that allows employers to fire unvaccinated workers.  The demonstration was registered but banned by the government.  As in Berlin, it was an illegal demonstration.  It is the largest protest in Latvia in more than a decade.  The number of demonstrating people should be seen in relation to the population of around 800,000 people in Riga.  Then the number of protesters is significantly higher than in Berlin, for example.  Another focus of the demonstration was that, as in many other European countries, children should get the prick as well as the constant testing of teachers and other professional groups who have not yet received it.  To protest against this, many dolls and cuddly toys were placed on the fence of the government building.  Unfortunately, I didn't know that there was still a demonstration there.  Otherwise I would have been there.
 In contrast to the demonstrations in Germany, the police held back absolutely and only intervened if there were attacks against others by people within the march or from outside.  An altogether absolutely peaceful and harmonious demonstration without any violence!  Despite thousands of people ...

Trešdienas vakarā Latvijas galvaspilsētā Rīgā, iespējams, demonstrēja līdz 20 000 cilvēku, cita starpā pret likumu, kas ļauj darba devējiem atlaist nevakcinētos darbiniekus.  Demonstrācija tika reģistrēta, bet valdība to aizliedza.  Tāpat kā Berlīnē, tā bija nelikumīga demonstrācija.  Tas ir lielākais protests Latvijā vairāk nekā desmit gadu laikā.  Demonstrējošo cilvēku skaits jāskata saistībā ar aptuveni 800 000 cilvēku skaitu Rīgā.  Tad protestētāju skaits ir ievērojami lielāks nekā, piemēram, Berlīnē.  Vēl viens demonstrācijas uzsvars tika likts uz to, ka, tāpat kā daudzās citās Eiropas valstīs, bērniem vajadzētu saņemt dūrienu, kā arī pastāvīgi pārbaudīt skolotājus un citas profesionālās grupas, kuras to vēl nav saņēmušas.  Lai protestētu pret to, uz valdības ēkas žoga tika novietotas daudzas lelles un mīlulītes.  Diemžēl es nezināju, ka tur vēl otiek demonstrācija.  Citādi es tur būtu bijis.
Atšķirībā no demonstrācijām Vācijā, policija absolūti atturējās un iejaucās tikai tad, ja gājienā vai no ārpuses notika cilvēku uzbrukumi citiem.  Pavisam absolūti mierīga un harmoniska demonstrācija bez jebkādas vardarbības!  Neskatoties uz tūkstošiem cilvēku ...
