This is a high power test of the Turbo Electric controller which obviously has disastrous failure.

You can hear the power of the engine.
This is the Turbo Electric controller which uniquely uses low frequency VFD to generate much more torque, power and efficiency that fixed high frequency (silent mode) controllers.

At the time it failed it would have been over 100mph and capable of well over 700 hp and around 1,000Nm of torque.
The original engine was rated at 350hp and 550Nm with the Tesla controller.

The main issue which caused the fail was because it was using the original Tesla IGBT arrays and the inadequate liquid cooling employed.

Tesla themselves have designed away from this too.

This engine will now be rebuilt with a full Turbo Electric inverter and cooling system and retested.
