Around the world pandemic restrictions are being questioned by an increasing number of intelligent and reflective individuals who do not agree with the government's approach to containing Covid-19. So far, they've been vilified, marginalized, and even subject to hatred and violence. The language used to describe these skeptics "corona deniers," 'conspiracy theorists," #covidiots," dehumanizes them and makes the fair and balanced consideration of their arguments impossible. The pandemic is the issue of our age,. To ring fence its discussion so that only officially accepted doctrine is fit for polite society is to create an incendiary and volatile mix destined to explode. At Berlin's #b290820 anti-corona restrictions demonstration, I found a broad spectrum of German society. They were concerned about the effectiveness and necessity of covide restrictions, and about what they see as an anti-democratic power grab by governments and global corporations. In this video, they speak for themselve in mainly uncut interviews. Gauge for yourself if they are the foolhardy, uneducated, willfully ignorant unfortunates they are regularly portrayed as in the media. To get them to speak to me I had to assure them I was not affiliated with any mainstream media outlet. They told me they are tired of being demonized, and are deeply concerned about how quickly such a large segment of society, especially in Germany with its history of totalitarianism, could be branded as dangerous and excluded from public discussion. I find this development disturbing and not in our best traditions. And so I financed a day of filming to provide this video for you and for non-profit journalists and bloggers for their own use and distribution.
