Bitcoin Halving — What is going to happen during the Bitcoin Halving in 2020?

- Bitcoin (ticker symbol BTC on exchanges) will be halving in roughly 1 day
- This will be the 3rd Bitcoin Halving

Bitcoin is decentralized because of millions of peer-to-peer nodes creating a network (blockchain). When these nodes solve equations in proof of work algorithms, it “mines” Bitcoin. Every time a certain number of Block rewards are created, the block reward is cut in half, creating a Bitcoin Halving event. The first halving was at the end of 2013, the second in mid-2016, and the 3rd will be in May of 2020.

What is consistent with every halving is a significant bull run! The bottom line: Bitcoin Halving have lead to long term bull runs.

While it may not be a good time to invest in Bitcoin for short term gains (it could be, but there are few guarantees due to volatility), the history has shown BTC Halving events to lead to long-term bull runs. I plan to continue hodling my crypto, and making the regularly monthly investments that I do currently.
