In this video, I discuss the dynamics surrounding the 11 May 2020 Bitcoin halving, with a focus on Bitcoin mining economics. The miner block subsidy just fell from 12.50 BTC to 6.25 BTC, thus making many of the older mining rigs suddenly unprofitable-- unless Bitcoin prices move sharply higher soon.

Whether these older mining rigs are forced to shut down sooner or later does not matter in the big picture, as new more energy-efficient Bitcoin mining rigs are already being deployed and are increasing the total hash rate of the Bitcoin network.

In the second half of my video, I examine possible Bitcoin price targets over the coming 4 years, using Plan B's stock to flow valuation models. Price target estimates range from about $30,000 to over $288,000. The Fed's inflationary monetary policy leads me to believe that Bitcoin will trade at or above $288,000 by the end of 2021.
