Is Bitcoin a currency? Is Bitcoin an alternative to gold? These questions tend to come up every day and there are many common misconceptions even seen on news media as to how Bitcoin is actually supposed to react to different world events. Bitcoin does not move in unison with any other asset due to the fact that it solves a unique and highly unlikely use-case, and it is highly speculative. This does not mean however that you should not hold it in your portfolio, as it does protect you from a crucial element of the world economy, fiat currency.


In this video I explain the differences between Bitcoin and fiat currencies, in addition to when Bitcoin may actually see mass adoption and what it is actually trying to solve.
