Bored Ape Yacht Club BAYC land sale shot Ethereum fees to over $1000 per transaction! That is simply ridiculous crypto news. But this bodes very well for other crypto coins - particularly Layer 2s. Layer 2 cryptos are used to lower Ethereum fees for precisely this reason, and as long as ETH continues to do this (which it has for a while) this strengthens the demand for coins like Polygon, Cartesi and IMX.
