Ant and I go way back to Auckland, New Zealand where we both had the same singing teacher Janice Webb. We sang together at my final concert in New Zealand and hadn't seen each other for 11 years when I was up in Cologne and thought to hit him up. 8 hours of chatting, 4 coffees and a Thai curry later I heard all about what he had been up to and boy was it cool. ⁠

No joke, Ant really left it all to move to Germany and finally pursue his life's dream of being a full time musician. ⁠

Ant is a songwriter who busks a lot with his dog Daisy in and around Cologue. We chatted about his songwriting technique, how he stays motivated and what he has found works for him. ⁠

Going from working in chaos to finding structure in his music making Ant has taken a hard hit because of Covid but he remains upbeat and looking forward to the next challenge. ⁠
