Claiming DOTs with an Ethereum address generated using an old mnemonic phrase

Web3 Foundations Technical Educator, Bruno Skvorc discusses how to recover accounts from old mnemonics.

Some wallets that contributed to the 2017 DOT sale were generated with Parity's wallet generation process. This process is no longer widely supported and is incompatible with the current BIP39 standard, so we go through the process of recovering those accounts in this video.

Please note that if you need to recover your wallet to SIGN a message, the MyEtherWallet method requires you to double-click the SignMsg.html file instead of the index.html file. Everything else is the same.
