Last year in september Arena Now came up with this incredibly dope concept of safe concerts in Lanxess Arena Cologne. Since we already were lookin forward to attend Rampage in march (which got canceled a day before the event), we were more than stoked when we noticed that there would be corona-safe edition. We bought some tickets and drove about 700 kilometres to the venue. The event was perfectly organized and we had zero concerns about covid. unfortunately it already ended at midnight bc of Germany's restrictions at the time, but it was totally worth it anyway!
We also went to Bootshaus with the expectation that it would be closed, but it turned out there was a little outdoor event with pop-up shops and street food. U could even step inside to explore the empty club, which was an outstanding experience.
Even tho we were a pretty random constellation of people that never went on a vacation/festival together it ended up being one of the best weekends in 2020.
Rly hoping more of these events gonna come up this summer..
