COVID-sceptics and anti-lockdown protesters rallied over the weekend, in spite of many countries easing restrictions.

Since infection numbers are dropping and people continue to get vaccinated, England is opening up.

In Berlin Querdenker ('lateral thinkers') rallied against lockdown.

Following a curfew, and the vaccination programme picks up speed the number of new infections has been decreasing in Germany too.

Protesters also marched through Vienna, while anti-lockdown protesters flooded Melbourne's Batman Park for a Worldwide Rally for Freedom.

More than 163 million COVID cases have been reported worldwide, and more than 3 million related deaths.
