COVID-19 hit Germany’s small businesses hard. Now, amid a record economic downturn, many are forced to radically change their business models to survive. According to one cafe owner: “the businesses that are strong try to reinvent themselves - they will go out stronger from the crisis. The ones who can’t will die.”
