ROZEF MISSION organised a Webinar on "Digital Divide- A gap between privileged and underprivileged students on 13th June 2020.
Presenters were Ms Noynika Banerjee (LLM, TISS Mumbai) , Mr Sohail Akhtar (Social work, TISS, Mumbai), Arshe Alam (JNU).
Dr. Nikhat Zaman PhD, Director HR, BSA Crescent University graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Dr. Vivek Singh Bhadoria Alig PhD, Technical Manager Australian Company based in Germany as Guest of Honour.
Digital divide is very much matter of concern for the students who lack internet or ICT facilities. This is arisen circumstances which is developed by COVID 19 pandemic. Students can't give online examinations and assignments especially visually impaireds. There are many factors contributing this divide. Not all are having better access of ICT, Mobile, Internet, laptop, computer and other gadgets. Seeing it's necessity as many universities and educational institutions conducting live classes and examination by online mode, government and related authorities should make arrangements so as minimise sufferings of affected students..
Presenters highlighted the challenges, barriers and solutions.
