وكانت تربعت مدينة الغردقة على عرش المدن الأكثر جذبا للسياحة فى العالم وصنفت من بين افضل شواطئ فى العالم ومن بين افضل 25 وجهة سياحية حول العالم، حيث يزورها اكثر من 35 جنسية حول العالم قبل جائحة فيروس كورونا المستجد، وكان على راس تلك الدول هى الدول الأوربية، وخصوصا ألمانيا معشوقة الغردقة
وزار مدينة الغردقة مشاهير العالم فى السياسة والرياضة وعلى رأس النجم المصرى العالمى محمد صلاح، وقائد فريق ريال مدريد راموس، وكذلك بنزيما، وعائلة كريستيانوا، فضلا عن ذلك اقيمت فيها اول حفل تقام فى مصر لتوزيع جوائز الافضل فى افريقيا.
تحتوى شواطئ مدينة الغردقة على شعاب مرجانية وكائنات بحرية لمحبى الرياضات البحرية والغرض والسنوركلنج بشكل عام، حيث تظهر على شواطئها الدلافين والحيتان، والسلاحف المختلفة، فضلا عن الآلاف من أنواع الأسماك المختلفة.
