On official AMD page the producer recommends to let VRAM on Auto. Also they say, for the eventuality when you consider to increase VRam: for systems equipped with 8GB of RAM or more, set the UMA buffer size to 1GB or 2GB. Higher values will impact negatively your system.
AMD advised this, Valve used 1GB to ensure system stability, but now some smart kids know better and decided to increase VRam to 4GB forgetting about consequences about system. That amount is inaccessible for RAM. Less RAM, slow system performance. It doesn’t matter if you have 10GB Vram if system is slow in operating because of lack of RAM.

The VRAM is useful to increase it only in Windows OS and only with some games.

When you increase VRam, you take (reserve) a part of your available RAM. As you see in the video, with lower VRam the game will use higher amounts of RAM. You have more RAM available for games. More RAM = better performance. Less RAM = slower system and operations. The RAM displayed is the one used by the game (in case that other comments will try to explain what I already said).
