"EcoHumanism" with Rev. Millie Phillips

Millie is a humanist concerned with addressing social justice critiques of humanism. In this presentation, she will be discussing ecohumanism, which counters the claim that humanism's focus on people is incompatible with respect for other species and the environment, and is overly optimistic about technological progress as a means to mitigate climate change and other ecological problems.

Rev. Millie Phillips, a member of the Unitarian Universalist (UU) Society of San Francisco, was ordained by our congregation a year ago. Until recently she was serving the UU Community of Lake County.
