Edward Snowden says Crypto hasn’t gotten to where it needs to be.

Bitcoin this week has taken another 10% blow to now sitting around the low $30,000s with a plunge into the $20,000s now seemingly very likely. Now one of the main reasons for this was news that came out of the FBI recovering a crypto ransom, with concerns over the security of the cryptocurrency after United States officials were able to recover most of the ransom paid to hackers that targeted Colonial Pipeline.

Although unclear, court documents say that U.S officials managed to access the password for one of the hackers Bitcoin wallets as they used software to track wallet transactions on the blockchain.

Although specific ways in which the FBI retrieved the wallet passwords were not disclosed, it does highlight privacy concerns regarding Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
