Fernando A. Jaén is an independent luthier based in Cuenca, Spain, a beautiful city just southeast of Madrid. Jaén builds both traditional guitars (usually semi-hollow and hollowbody archtops) as well as unusual designs.

If you never played a Jaén guitar before, your in for a life chancing surprise. This is where a acoustic carved archtop is about! The body is crafted using fantastic looking hand-carved walnut for the back and sides, and a hand-carved spruce top with a unique and graceful sound hole that runs along the waist of the bass side. The comfortable C-shaped neck is crafted from flamed maple with a 25.5" scale length, ebony fingerboard and Schertler tuners inlaid in the headstock.

This model adds a piezo to the Berlin II model, much as the Berlin IV, but making control much easier thanks to its master volume. The magnetic and piezo pickups each have a volume control mounted under the ebony tailpiece and below the pickguard is a master volume and tone control for the magnetic pickup. It has two input jacks; one mono and one stereo. Also included is a sound hole plug so you can play at a higher volume without feedback.

Includes a hardshell case with TFOA passport.
