*community profile made on steam vr controller bindings*
having issues with hands in the wrong place in VR and the arms too long ?only boneworks and vial alpha seem to show this issue in my library and it is incredibly annoying!
from what I've read, this is a runtime problem / value translation change that happened at some point in steam VRs past, so theres not much I can do in games already developed and shipped, devs that are only targeting certain headsets don't help this issue and its not all that common, as shown from my library of 100+vr games, only two have this specific issue.
I've been messing around as I usually do and have managed to considerably improve this, but not perfect it yet.
with steam vr bindings I was able to adjust the poses which changed where the hands are positioned relative to the controllers, in my case with the pico neo 3 link, for a much closer- but still not perfect hand position, I have had to flip the Y axis on the 'base' position in the pico controller driver files and then map the base value as controller pose in steam vr.
there is still more I can tweak, like trying to get the grip action to act where the fingers should be gripping, but its a start and at least makes the game alot more playable for now.
hope this helps.
