Fix Wo Long Fallen Dynasty Crash, crash to desktop (CTD),crash on startup, freeze & Black Screen on PC
Step 1) Disconnect Additional joystick, controllers. Unplug hotas, wheel, pedals, mouse, Razer Tartarus, disconnect all the additional USB adapter connected to PC, if you have any virtual controller (Vjoy etc.), disable/uninstall them. turn off Razer Synapse (razor lighting effects) and MSI Dragon Center, corsair software, end nahimic services & lightingservice.exe in task manager, remove the undervolt, Disconnect multiple monitors

Step 2) Verify the game files, restart your PC after verifying the game files, for me there were many corrupted files, once files were reinstalled the game runs fine.

Step 3) Install VP9 Video Extensions from Microsoft store.

Step 4) Try -dx11 or -dx12 in launch options.

Step 5) Run the game as an administrator.

Step 6) Try running the game in compatibility mode.

Step 7) If able to launch the game, then try Windowed mode, lock the FPS at 60, disable HDR & lower down graphics settings

Step 8) Increase the Virtual Memory:
View Advanced system settings.
Initial Size: 1.5 x Total Ram
Maximum Size: 3 X Total Ram

Step 9) Run the game on dedicated graphics card

Step 10) Delete the save game files (This will result in loss of game progress)

Step 11) Allow the game exe file to your antivirus program/Windows Security and Firewall

Step 12) Do a clean installation of graphics driver

Step 13) Roll back graphics driver.

Step 14) Disable Steam Overlay, close all the overlay apps (Discord, GeForce Experience, Nvidia shadow play overlay, AMD overlay), close all the overclocking application, perform clean boot.

Step 15) Install Visual C++ Files https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-160

Step 16) Install Media Feature Pack: If you are using N versions of Windows: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/media-feature-pack-list-for-windows-n-editions-c1c6fffa-d052-8338-7a79-a4bb980a700a or switch normal Windows 10/11 editions

Step 17) Update your Windows

Step 18) Update System BIOS

Step 19) Uninstall and reinstall the game to the different drive (Try SSD first)

Xbox Game Pass Users

Step 1) Make sure Date, Time, Time Zone and Region Is Correct On your PC

Step 2) Make sure you are logged in with same account on Microsoft Store and Xbox App


Step 3) Uninstall & Reinstall Gaming Services
get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

Step 4) Run this powershell command
Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

Step 5) Run the game on dedicated graphics card

Step 6) Install all the Updates in Microsoft Store

Step 7) Repair/Reset the game

Step 8) Uninstall and reinstall the game
