This is the best way to get your game working again if it doesn't work proberly.

All your game folders are located in steam/steamapps/user

READ!: I don't thinks its any steam only the games in the user folder not the common folder. Check before you delete the folders that det game have a kind of a gfc file like counter strike souce content
