About it:
This is one of my favorites songs from Genshin's OST so I've decided to study it and make an orchestral mockup for training.
It was quite tricky to get right, I knew part of the phrasing used in the song would be quite difficult to reproduce with samples so my goal was to create something similar to a good-sounding "demo" (for a song that would be recorded later).
I had to adapt the phrasing of the woodwinds so the samples could respond better to them and also added harmony to the vocals as this made it sound slightly better.
Also, I've learned quite a lot about orchestral mixing since I had to meddle a lot with the mic positions to get a satisfactory result.
