We drove about 50 minutes from Boblingen to the castle on March 13, 2021. It was a very windy day about 43 degrees. The kids loved it though. The inside castle areas were closed but the 10 minute walk to the castle was nice a bit uphill when you reach the castle however so its not good for those that can’t walk uphill well. The views were amazing. It was built around 1100 and remains one of the best elevated fortresses. They normally have a restaurant, events, and festive times. Covid has messed up a lot of that but it also said on the time starts in April. It belonged to nobles then to a dynasty. A Duke had it at one point but the death of the monarch and lack of money left it abandoned.
