Bitcoin is coming to hundreds of U.S. banks this year, says crypto custody firm NYDIG. Bitcoin-focused firm Galaxy Digital Holdings Ltd. has agreed to buy BitGo Inc. for $1.2 billion in cash and stock, the first $1 billion deal in the cryptocurrency industry. Miami-Dade County Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins has gotten her crypto task force approved. Miami Mayor Francis Suarez calls out New York's propsed Bitcoin mining bank and tweets "We want to be the crypto mining capital of the world and know it can be done sustainably and incorporate solar." Crypto data firm Coin Metrics raised $15 million Wednesday in an equity round led by Goldman Sachs. Bitso reportedly becomes Latin America’s first billion-dollar crypto exchange.
