I-dance without permission. part 1" is a long-term creative process and movement-based art project I have developed since 2017. My idea revolves around the occupation of institutional spaces that normally sell, distribute and exhibit art. Every occupation was recorded for a few minutes without damaging the exhibition itself more than a distraction.

Actually, the space and the exhibitions inspire me to find a particular quality of movements that I can follow the next time when I record in another art institution, every time in a different exhibition and location. All recordings were made in a range of three years, altogether becoming a choreography of about 10 min length.

The movement-based exploration and intervention are articulated by nuances of my body interaction with the architectural environment and the art pieces which I recorded as an extension or echo into my body receptor or connector between both. These expansions of frequencies are more abstract muscular and articulated impulses, rather than actions.

The aim of the seconds of movements left behind is a live institutional critique and mirrors the nature of performance art as a non-sellable art. So then, this archive is the somatic answer to a cultural infrastructure occupied without permission, that all together becomes an intermittent choreographical "demo" to one part of the cultural infrastructure of Western society.
