Title: The NASA Mars 2020 Rover Mission

Mars 2020 is the next NASA mission to the surface of Mars, scheduled to launch in July, 2020 and land in February 2021. As the first step in a possible Mars sample return campaign, Mars 2020 has transformative potential for astrobiology and planetary science. Mars 2020 Deputy Project Scientist and UW Astrobiology alum Ken Williford will provide a mission overview and an update on the development of flight hardware, operational strategy, and scientific context for exploration and sampling in and around the landing site at Jezero Crater.
