Someone managed to fool the entirety of the financial media industry this morning when they faked a press release saying Walmart would be accepting litecoin for payments. The fake story caused a 34% spike in Litecoin that vanished just as quickly when it was learned that the story was fake. This perfectly demonstrates the need for caution and skepticism when dealing with cryptocurrency investments. Although I am long Bitcoin and Ethereum, I am always on the lookout for crooks and scam artists in the crypto space.
