Marshall Center Host Virtual Event on COVID-19, Great Power Competition

GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (April 24, 2020) — The Marshall Center’s Alumni Programs and faculty hosted a virtual event on “Covid-19 and Great Power Competition” April 24. The Marshall Center’s Dean of the College of International and Security Studies, Dr. Andrew Michta spoke about the great power competition between China and the U.S. Then, Dr. Graeme Herd, professor of transnational security studies, spoke about the great power competition in regards to Russia. Dr. Pal Dunay, professor of NATO and European security issues, spoke about the topic concentrating on Central Europe. The event was moderated by Dr. Valbona Zeneli, chair of the strategic initiatives department, and Dr. Suzanne Loftus, professor of national security studies. (DOD Video)
