Hi, my name is Flo and welcome to Flo's Car Channel! The Battery production for the Mercedes EQS is in Untertürkheim-Hedelfingen, a few miles south of Sindelfingen where the EQS is produced at Factory 56.

The Mercedes EQS is a masterpiece and will put a lot of pressure on Tesla and other upcoming or already available EVs. The EQS is integrated into ongoing series production at the site as the first all-electric model. The Mercedes S-Class saloon, the long-wheelbase version and the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class are already rolling off the production line at Factory 56.

EQS production in Factory 56 in Sindelfingen, Germany, exemplifies sustainable and CO2-neutral vehicle manufacturing at Mercedes. Several measures that enhance environmental protection and resource conservation typify the factory: as just one example, photovoltaic systems on the roof of the hall cover yearly around 30 per cent of the electricity demand. Due to maximum flexibility, the assembly of different models and drive types on one line is possible. The processes and equipment in the production hall of Factory 56 can therefore be precisely adapted to the requirements of the EQS electric model.

The Mercedes EQS will initially be available as EQS 450+ with 328 horsepower and as EQS 580 4MATIC with 516 horsepower. The acceleration to 62 miles per hour is 6,2 seconds for the EQS 450 and 4,3 seconds for the EQS 580. Mercedes is even planning an AMG version with a staggering 750 horsepower! That are Porsche Taycan Turbo S Power-Levels! The EQS 450+ has rear wheel drive, the EQS 580 4MATIC has all-wheel drive. The 4MATIC EQS uses one electric motor in the front and one in the back, the EQS 450+ uses one electric motor in the back.

The Mercedes EQS offers up to 770 kilometers of Range (WLTP), is the most aerodynamic production car in the world, is the first Mercedes with over-the-air updates (OTA), offers a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter for clean air in the cabin, has automatically opening doors, offers rear-axle steering as standard, offers the very impressive Hyperscreen with the newest generation of MBUX.

On top of that the Mercedes EQS offers highly advanced lightning systems, highly advanced automated driving systems and highly advanced parking systems. Two-Tone color can also be ordered. Of course you get all the luxury the new "normal" S-Class already offers and the typical Mercedes qualities like for example very good build quality, very low noise levels and very nice driving comfort.
