This is a song about my grand children living in Hamburg, Germany.
Mieke was born in mid 2019, and we have never met her in person, having had a scheduled trip last year cancelled due to Covid.

We know we are so fortunate to be living in one of the few presently safest countries in the world, and it’s hard for us to truly understand the pain so much of the world is going through.
However millions around the world including New Zealand are missing seeing family and loved ones, and it is also a very real pain that can’t be described if you’re not in that situation.
My hope is that there are many who will identify with my song and the images of our much loved grandchildren, and realise they are not alone.
