South Korea's vaccination campaign has faced some uncertainty in recent weeks due to supply issues at the U.S. vaccine maker Moderna.
In today's briefing, the South Korean health authorities said, however, that Moderna will be sending seven million doses of its vaccine over the next two weeks.
About one million doses will arrive at Incheon International Airport on Monday, and the remaining six million will be delivered starting the following week until early September.
With the additional supply, around 36 million people are expected to have gotten their first doses before Chuseok, the country's Thanksgiving holiday next month.
Earlier, Moderna had said it would have to cut the expected 8-point-5 million vaccine doses for Seoul this month to less than half that due to production issues.
