Nationalizing Our Food

This has been a hot topic over the last few months. Should a President be able to order plants to function in a crisis situation or not? We have seen Trump order plants who have had employees diagnosed with COVID-19 refuse to work in unsafe conditions back to work. I don’t blame them. No one should have to risk their personal safety for a job. According to the Patriot Act and the successor to it, yes a president can nationalize industry and order it into production.

Remember, it took Hitler and the Nazi’s five years to get everything in Germany nationalized. But, once it was done that was it. There was no turning back. The newest law called RAMP UP act gives grants to larger meat processors to upgrade their facilities. This is for ‘small processors’. What were we told about the Payroll Protection Program? It would help small businesses keep employees on the payroll as if the doors were open. Who got these loans? I’ll leave an article with that information. Grab a barf bag because you’re going to need it. I can guarantee you the people who needed those loans aren’t the ones who got them. So why should we believe this RAMP UP Act will be any different. It won’t.

Not only will this act once again help the ‘small processors’, but it will also allow them to sidetrack a few regulations. Of course, it’ll help if they know who to bride. Your small family-owned processors don’t have that kind of revenue at their disposal. This is why whatever family-owned processors will have to probably close if this act goes into effect. Why? Because this act has grants which will match dollars spent for upgrades. While the RAMP UP act is different in that aspect that it contains grants, the processors will have to already have funds available upfront for any upgrades.

Now let’s talk nonsense narratives. It’s no secret that certain government officials want society to go Vegan rather they want to or not. There is talk of new swine flu in pigs over in China, and bubonic plague in rabbits here in America. I have my doubts about both stories. What would be the easiest way to get people to go vegan? You systematically take away all other alternatives to meat sources. People who hunt for their meat, also set traps for rabbits so they have a variety of meat all winter long. So, first, we were introduced to grocery stores to get people off of hunting for subsistence. Then we had the environmental nazi movement. Now there is talk about a meat luxury tax that would force people to become vegan or vegetarian. Again, rather we want to or not.

Also, 1.5 million more people have filed for unemployment benefits. Keep in mind this is a benefit you have already paid for. So get your money’s worth.
