Famosi per i riassunti in musica dei grandi classici della letteratura (I Promessi Sposi in 10 minuti, Shakespeare in 8 minuti, L’Inferno di Dante e Pinocchio in 6 minuti) e per le parodie irriverenti dei brani più famosi della musica italiana, gli Oblivion si mettono alla prova con un progetto mastodontico e internazionale: raccontare la storia del rock, attraverso gli autori più importanti del genere e i brani più famosi, senza soluzione di continuità e senza strumenti o basi musicali, ma utilizzando unicamente le loro cinque voci a riprodurre anche batteria, basso, chitarra, tastiere e synth.

Ne è nata una performance unica nel suo genere: HISTORY OF ROCK in 6 minuti, una vera e propria rapsodia che fonde 50 interpreti immortali e 53 famosissime hit a partire dal 1955 con Rock around the clock: Elvis Presley, The Beatles, U2, Queen, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Guns N’ Roses, Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Marylin Manson, Metallica, Muse, Nirvana, Oasis, Pink Floyd, R. E. M., Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Santana, Sex Pistols, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix e tantissimi altri, in un unico travolgente brano.
Un’antologia di storia della musica rock che passa in rassegna gli autori capostipiti e i diversi generi (dal Rock and Roll, all’Hard Rock, passando per Pop Punk, Britpop, Indie, Baroque pop e chi più ne ha più ne metta) in una vera e propria rockpedia in musica.

Il brano HISTORY OF ROCK è tratto da OBLIVION RHAPSODY, il nuovo show allestito a novembre 2020 con la regia di Giorgio Gallione. A causa dello stop alle attività dal vivo ha dovuto sospendere la tournèe già programmata ed è in attesa di debuttare a teatro.
IL VIDEOCLIP è stato registrato durante l’allestimento dello show, nel rispetto del distanziamento imposto dalle norme anti-covid vigenti al momento delle riprese.

Famous for the musical summaries of the most of the greatest classics of literature (The Betrothed in 10 minutes, Shakespeare in 8 minutes, Dante’s Inferno and Pinocchio in 6 minutes) and the irreverent parodies of many famous pieces of Italian music, Oblivion test themselves with a international and gigantic project: telling the history of rock music through the most important authors of the genre and the most famous songs, without interruptions, instruments nor backing tracks but only using their five voices to also reproduce drums, bass, guitar, keyboards and synths.
