In this talk, Dr. Richard Dewey, Associate Director of Science Services at ONC, described sound propagation in the ocean and explained how killer whales use sound and are impacted by noise pollution. He then described changes to the ocean soundscape as a result of decreased shipping during the COVI-19 pandemic.
