Join us on Tuesday, 7 July from 17:00 to 18:00 CET, for the next digital edition of Talking Europe, organised in partnership with the European Commission. This new series of online events aims to discuss the EU’s work and how it affects all Europeans.

Our guest, Dubravka Šuica, Commission Vice-President for Democracy and Demography, will discuss with us the Conference on the Future of Europe.

With the Council finally agreeing its position on the Conference, the 3 EU institutions have begun the negotiations that will decide the structure and the objectives of the Conference on the Future of Europe.

A year after European citizens took part in the European Elections in great numbers, casting their vote and making their voice heard, the Conference is an opportunity to continue the dialogue, build on citizen engagement and debate some of the important issues our Union is facing.

This digital event will be a timely opportunity to discuss with the Commissioner responsible all the issues related to the conference and feed the views of stakeholders from across society in the discussion.

After the initial discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session.

We encourage participants to join the discussions on Twitter using the hashtag #TalkingEurope. When tweeting, please use the handles @EMInternational and @EU_Commission.

The event is part of a series of discussions entitled ‘Talking Europe’, organised in partnership with the European Commission with the aim to foster debate on the European Union’s work and its affect on the everyday lives of citizens, involving stakeholders from civil society, political institutions and the wider European community.
