Tesla autopilot is a driver assist feature, which effectively takes over the steering, braking and accelerating for your Model 3. What Tesla autopilot isn’t, is an excuse for you to go to sleep, which is why Autopilot hits the headlines with “Tesla Autopilot crash”, as often they’ve been on their phone, asleep or generally not paying attention. It doesn’t make your Model 3 a self driving car….at the moment.

Tesla autopilot takes the heavy load off driving, but you still need to pay attention. In this video we will be doing a Tesla autopilot test in the Model 3 on the roads it was built for like Dual Carriageways and Motorways, but also on the ones it wasn’t, like City centres and single carriageways in the UK.

This Tesla Autopilot UK test will explore how it sees its surroundings, and how close it really is to being a self driving car. You will also get to see how due to EU regulations there are limitations, which can lead to a big fat Tesla autopilot fail, when you least want it to!!!
