When I bought my first Tesla in mid 2018, the Owners Club had a section on suggested upgrades and one of the most popular was a pair of Dashcams. So I used one of the popular installers in the group and had David from ShieldIT fit a pair of Goluk Dashcams.

Since then, Tesla have used the cameras built into AutoPilot to allow you to download the footage onto a USB stick.

So, it may seem the Dashcams are pointless now, but personally, I like having both.
