Tesla Model 3 is crushing it in Europe! Tesla Model 3 is an endurance king, according to the latest extensive EV range test by the Norwegian Automotive Federation (NAF). This time round, the NAF subjected 21 new electric vehicles to endurance tests by driving them till their batteries were completely flat. Based on the outcomes, it appears that Tesla’s most affordable Model 3 electric sedan remains to be king, though the Ford Mustang Mach-E is not far behind. As noted by the agency, its test was geared toward determining the real-world range of EVs based on how they’re driven in real-world conditions. The test began with fully charged cars, and each vehicle started cold, with no preheating of either the batteries or the cabin. The vehicles were then in equal mode (eco mode), and the cars’ regenerative braking system was utilized as necessary. The vehicles were operated by ordinary drivers who ensured every feature was in use. The test drive for the 21 vehicles was through city roads, state roads, and motorways, and they were driven at two speeds: 60 km/h and 110 km/h (37 and 68 miles per hour respectively). Vehicles with extended range were sampled out and taken through two mountain passes – a test that entailed a climb of as much as 1,000 meters. The general outcomes of the EV range test are just intriguing.
