Car and Driver has revealed the results of their "EV 1000" test. Here are the results in which Tesla sweeps competition winning the first, second, and the third places.

The EV 1000 is Car and Driver’s twist on a long-distance race with electric vehicles. Eleven vehicles driven by teams of two competed to finish a 1000-mile lap through four states as fast as possible.

The Top 3 Vehicles in the “EV 1000”:

1. Tesla Model S Long Range Plus

2. Tesla Model Y Performance

3. Tesla Model 3 Performance

Replying to a Tweet on the results Musk commented: "Not bad, although new Model S has more range and faster charging. 3 and Y should use long-range version, as Performance version is meant for max speed and handling, not max range." Supercharger network is being upgraded to 250kW to 300kW so that will help too."

Car & Driver's EV 1000 race wasn’t on a track, and top speed was not a key consideration. Rather, this was a real-world four-state road trip intended to “benchmark the state of EV technology and the nation’s charging infrastructure by road-tripping EVs beyond the range of a single charge.”

Currently, only Tesla vehicles can access the Tesla Supercharger network. However, Musk replied to a tweet by Marques Brownlee hinting about future compatibility with other vehicles.
