The Champions Acts 12

We see the stark contrasts of where the church and King Agrippa find power, hope and trust. King Agrippa gladly piles on the persecution of Christians as he has apostles James killed and Peter jailed. Peter has double guards, double gates and chains that represents a situation without hope. But Peter and the church remain hopeful in the God who never leaves nor forsakes them. The church goes fervently to God in prayer and they are answered in a powerful way. God shows them to have faith in him regardless of the circumstances and struggles we face.
