The Last of Us PC Performance Analysis- Multiple GPUs tested!

The Last of Us Part 1 PC port is finally available. It is based on the PS5 remake, so expect good looking visuals that come at a price in performance and VRAM requirements. In many ways this is a solid PC port with support for ultrawide, FSR2 and DLSS2, and a highly scalable graphics menu. I'm also glad it precompiles shaders, although this takes a massive amount of time in this game. By far the longest shader compilation I have ever seen. I also encountered multiple game crashes during testing on my RTX 3060 Ti, and I saw some very high VRAM requirements, which can be brough mostly under control by reducing settings and/or upscaling. Overall the PC port seems to be a mixed bag rather than an unqualified triumph, but there is definitely a lot to like here, and hopefully we see some more patches in the near future.
