Can you cheat in a game before it releases?

If you cracked a game so that you could play it for six months before everyone else… Would that qualify?

The head start might not be big for everyone, but for a pro player trying to win tournaments – it could be, at least for a while.

So… is this cheating? After half a year of doing nothing, Capcom has finally said: yeah. It is.
