We perform traditional and popular music from various cultures across the world. We are "Swarasindhu", a sea of musical notes. We believe a culture's soul is to be found in her music, both traditional and popular.

Playing the music of different cultures needs empathy for that culture, and a deep desire to make it "one's own". We strive to be authentic and keep our music minimal and natural.

In this video, we included "Love Story" and "Lili Marleen", the iconic and timeless songs from the USA and Germany. It is followed by a composition of Tyagaraja, the great 18th-century composer from south India.

He composed this after listening to the European bands that had started playing in India at that time. This composition in Sanskrit is often taught to children to improve their diction and ability to vocalize fast syllables.

For the 20 minute gig, we plan to include Italian, French, Scottish, Russian, and Spanish songs...and of course some evergreen songs from Indian films.

We had planned to record playing together, but this was not possible due to the extraordinary situation due to Covid-19. We hope you enjoy our performing virtually together!

On accordion is Prakash with vocals by Srikar. We live in Bangalore, India.
