The U.S. is weighing new tariffs on 3.1 billion U.S. dollars of goods exported by France, Germany, Spain and the UK in another step that's likely to exacerbate trans-Atlantic tensions. The move is related to the EU continuing to push for a global digital tax on technology companies such as Google, Facebook and Amazon, despite the U.S. pulling out of the negotiations last week.
