Visa Is Looking for Blockchain Engineers Who Have Worked with Ethereum, Bitcoin, Ripple XRP, and R3. In May 2020 Visa filed a patent for a digital fiat currency indicating they are looking to build a Visa Coin to compete with Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP. In the the Blockchain Engineer job descriptions they highlight the following: The 5 priority verticals the team is focusing on are:
1. Blockchain based Cross border payment platform
2. Near time Settlement
3. Enterprise ID stamping to create digital identity for corporates
4. Hyperledger chain-code development in Go-lang
5. Analytics and Data visulization

Also, Visa’s head of crypto, Cuy Sheffield, says CBDC is the most important payments trend in the next decade.
