This week we welcome guest speaker and researcher Patricia Nabuco Martuscelli. She will be sharing her latest research on the impacts that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on refugee populations in Brazil.
Patrícia Nabuco Martuscelli holds a PhD in Political Science from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) (2019), Brazil. Patrícia has a BA (2014) and a MA in International Relations (2015) (Universidade de Brasília, UnB). She is an associate researcher at the Núcleo de Pesquisa em Relações Internacionais (NUPRI/USP) and the Núcleo de Estudos e Pesquisas Sobre Deslocados Ambientais (NEPDA/UEPB). In the last years, Patrícia was a Visiting Scholar at the Zukunftskolleg (University of Konstanz, Germany), the Jacobs Center for Productive Youth Development (University of Zurich, Switzerland), and the Carolina Population Center (the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, the USA). Her research interests are family migration, child migration, refugees and covid-19, and migration and asylum policies in Latin America, especially in Brazil.
