When man’s Technology outstrips his morality: The story of Babylon the Tower of Babel

1. Man had come together to build a great tower.
- they wanted to build a tower to heaven so they could see it even though they did not earn the right to see it

2. God’s response:
-God destroyed the tower and changed their language
- why, he didn’t forbid the technology
- they were not sinning per se, so God didn’t destroy them
- instead God changed their language and scattered them
- the effect is that the building stopped as the earths minds could not come together with their collective knowledge and build.

3. Result of scattering man around the earth and changing his language
-why changing languages was important
-Language office the keys to culture
-From different languages different cultures will evolve
-physical displacement means different understandings of the world will occur:
-Difference between
(ice people)
(desert people)
- Zeno phobic war like as a result of growing up and hostile in habitable parts of the earth.
-Hate the earth despise the earth
-Versus people who live in hot humid Abundant environments and plenty of fruit wildlife in Mount Climates.
-Love the earth will work with her
(native Americans versus European way of seeing the earth)

4. Separation leading to Different cultures and perspectives on earth leads to different people which leads to conflict and tribalism
- tribalism and racism, bigotry and chauvinism
-these different tribes men seeing themselves are different will Keep technology to themselves
-they won’t share because human nature requires them to compete with opposing tribes from other places

5. The question remains why did God change peoples language and scatter them around the earth?
-because our knowledge surpasses our morality-
-what happens when man develops his mind and body of knowledge but his morality does not keep pace?
-Our capacity to build is equal to our capacity to destroy:
-It takes years lifetimes centuries to build but only moments to destroy.
- It’s a simple equation I’m morality must match our knowledgeSo that we won’t destroy faster than we build
- When our morality surpasses our knowledge will build more than we Won’t destroy.
- We haven’t arrived at either of those Stages of development.

-6. examples, what happens when our knowledge surpasses our morality:

-we master gun powder and firearms was leased a war: The Jewish Holocaust Nazi Germany in World War II,
-we master sailing Technology and use it to foster the European slave trade of Africans.
-Nuclear weapons, Instead of building unlimited sources of energy we use it to create moms which we dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima.
- The Internet leads to worldwide communication instantaneously giving rise to great ability for man to develop its technological base. But we use it to foster a porn industry.
-Biological agents i.e. COVID-19
- we massive of chemistry We have been high fructose corn syrup and we were placed it sugar to generate more profit even though we are destroying lives Obesity and diabetes.
- 80% of black women are Overweight 80% of that 80% is obese
- Black men and cardiovascular disease and heart disease and diabetes largely because of diet.

7. The great cycle: We build and then we destroy ourselves,
-Humanity gets to the point where are ability to build and create outstrips on morality and we destroy ourselves.
-this cycle ends and we begin again.
-revelations signifies the end of the world in the beginning of a new world.
- Global warming rise in ocean waters climate change, billions of people Because of climate shifting
- 17 billion people on the planet by the end of this century, will lead to mass starvation and die off of billions of people.
