After the COVID-19 crisis, are global economies headed for growth, stagnation, or even inflation? @McKinsey_MGI studied seven advanced economies (US, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and the UK) to gauge the road ahead for productivity growth. The good news? There is potential to accelerate annual productivity growth by about one percentage point in the period to 2024—more than double the pre-pandemic rate—if corporate action spreads and if demand strengthens.
