Today we cross the German Border at Strasbourg. We called many campings in Germany and most were closed. The one we found turned out to be the worst we've been to so far.
At the border there were no checks at all from France to Germany. There was much traffic on the German highways. We haven't seen so much traffic since before Corona. Even all the rest stops and gas stations were full!
We traveled from Colmar, France to north of Frankfurt and stayed the night at Campingplatz Am Schwimmbad, GieBen. Really expensive, old facilities (the mens room smelled like cigarette smoke), unclear reception and messy. The owner was very nice though!
